Welcome to another episode of our daily bible study. Today’s episode is titled, do not join the multitude to do evil.

Previously in our daily bible study, we discussed the topic that says, a gentle response turns away anger.

The bible says in the book of proverbs chapter 15 verse 1 saying, “a gentle response turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

The bible categorically made that obvious. Whenever you provoked anyone, try not to worsen the situation with your words, instead, use your words to gently and softly calm the situation.

When God was infuriated by the action of the Israelites in making the golden calf. He decided to wipe out the entire community of Israel. But Moses interceded. Moses pleaded with Him. Moses begged God not to do so, citing the implications. After Moses’ plea, God reconsidered His decision. It was Moses’ soft and gentle response that turned doom to life. Sometimes, it is that simple “I am sorry” that changes the narrative. Learn to use soft words to respond to heated up wrath. It will always pay well in the end.

In today’s episode, we will discuss the message title, do not join the multitude to do evil. The book of exodus chapter 23 verse 2 says, thou shall not follow a multitude to do evil. We are living in a society where social pressure seems unsurmountable. The social media has worsened the situation. People will never stop saying their biased opinions whether it is true or not, they don’t care. well, for the fact that others are talking about it, does not mean you should also talk about it. Verify if it is true before you jump into the bandwagon. Standing alone while standing on the side of truth is what God demands from us.

After Moses came down from the mountain and saw the golden calf, he broke the tablets he came down with. He was devastated. And he asked, who is on the Lord’s side? The Levites arose. It happened that, the Levites moved away with their families when they saw what Israelite congregation wanted to do. They did not conform with the populace. They did not join with the people to do evil. They remained separate, and stayed firm in their decision. The Levites were later rewarded by God for not joining the other tribes of Israel to make and worship the golden calf.

We have to learn the lesson here, no matter how strongly we are pushed to partake in an evil plan, we should turn down the request. It never pays well to join a multitude to do evil. Though you may feel alone and be hated by the multitude, God will love you and reward you for your decision. So, never join the multitude to do evil. Always investigate properly before joining the crowd. Learn to stand alone and on the right side, always.

May God strengthen us to resist bad influence. Amen.
