Welcome to another episode of our daily bible study. In today’s episode, we will discuss the message titled, strive to learn every day.
Previously in our daily bible study, we discussed the bible nugget titled, always uphold fairness and justice. We learned from that episode of our daily bible study that when the Israelites sinned at mount Horeb by making and worshipping the golden calf, Moses pleaded on their behalf. Moses asked God to forgive them, Moses told God that if He was not going to forgive them, then He should remove his name “Moses” from His book. God replied Moses saying. Whoever that sins, that person I will remove his name from my book. God refused to punish Moses for the sins of the Israelites.
Here, God teaches us the importance of being fair and just. The importance of knowing that it is not appropriate to punish the righteous alongside the wicked. “The soul that sins, that soul shall die says the Lord.”
Therefore, do not give room to displaced aggression in your life. Always uphold fairness and justice. Reward the righteous and punish the wicked. Give everyone what they deserve. If Mr. A came first, then say he came first and do not change his position. Do so for everyone. Let righteousness and justice be your watchword. That is what God wants from us. If you have not watched that video, it is in the playlist. You can watch it after watching today’s episode.
In today’s episode, we will discuss the message titled, strive to learn every day.
Moses spoke to God in the book of exodus chapter 33 verse 13 saying; if you are pleased with me, teach me your ways, so I may know you and continue to find favor with you.
Here, Moses of all people, is asking God for more knowledge of Him. It is not uncommon to see preachers of nowadays, who think they’ve known it all. People who think they have grown beyond being tutored.
There is a saying that says, the day you stop learning, is the day you died.
Moses in all his spiritual enlightenment, was still asking God for more knowledge and wisdom. This is a very big lesson to us. No matter what you think you’ve known, or how much you think you have learned, you can still learn more. Therefore, humble yourself and ask for wisdom. Ask questions when you do not know what to do, do not be Mr. know-all that knows nothing. Humble yourself and learn more because God loves people who are willing to learn.
After Moses’ plea, God answered his prayer. Moses’ action taught us a very powerful message, always strive to learn every day. Do not think you’ve known it all. Always, and always strive to learn new things every day, because knowledge empowers.
May God endow us with wisdom and understanding. Amen.
