Daps Dalyop Gwom is a Nigerian gospel music minister, songwriter, producer, preacher, and multi-instrumentalist. He is also the Director of Oyoyo Africa Global Initiative and Xylo-Fro Records. He is best known for his songs “Kadosh”, “My Altar is Calling You”, “Wakana”, “Baka Sujada” “Nakawo” and “Season of Kings”.
Daps is also a consecrated Apostle and presides over the Ancient Floodgate Global Ministry. Through the prophetic depth of his sounds, he has been able to pioneer a unique worship that has become global Apostolic Worship (Involving chants) today.
The deep spiritual dimension to his music has endeared him to many worldwide and he has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in gospel music, including Bob Fitts, Lenny LeBlanc, Micha Stampley, Chuck Pierce, Robert Stearns, Lionel Peterson, Tasha Cobbs, Tye Tribbet, to mention but a few.
He is also a master in epic motion soundtracks. He has produced numerous soundtracks for movies, some of which have been nominated for the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), including “Sitanda,” “White Water”, “Syndy’s Note”, and “76” movie.
Apostle Daps Dalyop Gwom’s unique music style, which he calls “xylo-fro,” is a fusion of different genres, including traditional African music, reggae, soul, and R&B. He is happily married to Helen Agyer Gwom and blessed with three kids; Kushaya, Kadesh and Menorah.
