God wants us to be successful and flourish in all of our good deeds. “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth,” the bible says in 3 John. This verse demonstrates that God desires us to be successful. He doesn’t simply want us to be successful; he also wants us to be healthy.
The preceding verse identifies three crucial areas in which God desires our success;
- Our financial situation, professional endeavors, and all other activities we engage in are all part of our earthly journey.
- God desires for our health to be in good health. It is crucial to understand that our health is one of the most significant factors in success. This explains why the bible is filled with references to and accounts of healing and divine health.
- God wants us to mature spiritually and in all aspects of our souls. When we act in this way, we are following God’s will and are constantly guided by his Spirit.
We can only truly call ourselves successful when we are well in body, spirit, and soul. According to the Bible, God is the only one who can truly help us succeed since He provides us the strength to do so. According to Joshua 1:8, ‘This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shall meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.’
We can see from this that the key to success—and good success at that—is to meditate on God’s word and give it a priority in our lives.
