Previously, we discussed the message titled, do not join the multitude to do evil. It is always easy to join a crowd, but very difficult to stand alone. It takes great confidence and divine strength to stand alone and stay different. But if you can do that, then, you wouldn’t have problem dissociating yourself from band of evil doers. Do not follow the multitude to do evil is what God instructs us in the bible, and that is what the previous episode of our daily bible study teaches.

That everybody is doing it, does not mean it is right, it could be wrong.

Being able to identify an evil crowd and stay away from them is what we should strive to do. When the tribe of Levi saw what the other tribes of Israel were about doing, that is, the making the golden calf to worship. They gathered their families and moved away from their midst. The tribe of Levi foresaw the implications of such action and they hurriedly distanced themselves from it.

The previous episode of our daily bible study teaches the importance of one distancing themselves from evil doers. Like we said earlier, for the fact that everybody is doing it, does not mean that you should do it.

It happened that all those men of Israel that participated in the Golden calf debacle got punished, this shows that joining the crowd to do evil will always end in tears. Watch that episode after watching today’s episode, and you will learn why you should not join the crowd to do evil. The video is in the playlist.

In today’s episode, we will discuss a bible nugget titled, be determined to accomplish your mission. Moses was on a mission to liberate the Israelites from the Egyptian slavery, and take them to the promised land. Along the line, the Israelites disobeyed God, and God decided to wipe them out and replace them with Moses’ descendants. But Moses refused the offer. Moses even ask God to remove his name from His book, if Him God, will not forgive the sin of the Israelites in making the golden calf.

Moses said in Exodus chapter 32 verse 32 saying, but now, please forgive their sin, but if not, then blot me out of the book you have written.

Moses was ready to forfeit his divine blessing, just to make sure he accomplishes his mission of leading the Israelites home. What a great leader he was!

The lesson from this passage is clear, never allow anything sway you from your goals or dreams. Never allow any offer make you lose focus. Concentrate on your pursuit, be focused. Sometimes, the side attractions are tests and distractions. Learn how to handle them like Moses did and focus on your mission. Be determined like Moses to accomplish your mission or life dreams. When you do so, everything will work together to ease your struggle, and you will eventually emerge successful.

May God help us to remain determined and focused in pursuing our dreams in life. Amen.
