Welcome to another episode of our daily bible study. In today’s episode, we will discuss the message titled, the consequences of anger outburst.
Previously in our daily bible study, we discussed the message titled, strive to learn every day.
From that very episode of our daily bible study, we learned that Moses begged God for more knowledge of Him. Moses said, if you are pleased with me, teach me your ways, so I may know you and continue to find favor with you.
If Moses, in all his spirituality and closeness to God still asked God for more wisdom, then who am I not to seek more and more knowledge of God. He who stops learning is dead.
Never stop striving to learn. Ignorance is the mother of all crimes and mistakes. when someone steals, it’s because they are ignorant of the fact that, there are other easy and faster ways to make money other than stealing.
Do not stop learning. The bible says, out in the open wisdom calls aloud, she raises her voice in the public square. You can learn from anything. Nobody is above learning. Make learning a habit. Strive to acquire any knowledge you can, you never know when you will need it. Keep learning, for learning doesn’t stop until one die.
If you have not watched the video of the previous episode of our daily bible study, you can do so after watching today’s episode, the video is in the playlist.
In today’s episode, we will discuss a powerful message titled, consequences of anger outburst. When Moses came down from the mountain and saw the golden calf the Israelites made. He was furious. With anger, he dropped the two tablets of stone which were carved by the finger of God, on which the ten commandments were written.
After the entire event died down, God commanded Moses to come up to the mountain to get same version of the commandments. But this time, Moses had to carve out himself the tablets, just like the original one he broke.
This is a very big lesson to everyone. No matter who you are, make sure you do not allow anger to control you, because, if it does, you will have to bear the consequences.
Moses the great leader broke the tablets of the 10 commandments, God commanded him to carve out a new one himself. Never allow anger outburst overwhelm you, it can be disastrous. Learn how to manage anger. Anger can be destructive if not managed properly. Let us learn from Moses to not allow anger outburst overwhelm us.
Despite the fact that Moses’ anger was justifiable, breaking the tablets of stone was not justifiable. The tablets of stone had nothing to do with the golden calf, so why displace the anger? This message is connected to our previous message on displaced anger.
Never allow anger outburst rule your life, it can be very disastrous.
May God give us the inner strength to always control our emotions. Amen.
