Before we delve into discussing that message, let us have a brief review of the previous daily bible nugget.
In the previous episode, we discussed the topic that says; you are here for a purpose, part two. The last episode of our daily bible study is the second message we have that bears the same title; you are here for a purpose.
This message is very clear to anyone that tries to learn it. If the chairs and tables made by man were made for a purpose, then, God must have made man for a higher purpose. Do not think you were here by chance, no! you were created for a purpose, and the earlier you discover that purpose, the better for you.
If you want to learn how to discover your purpose in life, then check the playlist for the message, as well as this very last episode of our daily bible study titled, you are here for a purpose part two.
In today’s episode, we will discuss the message titled, impatience is dangerous and destructive.
So many road accidents have claimed lives and maimed many, because of some drivers’ impatience. So many businesses and establishments have been ruined due to impatience.
We are always in a hurry, we are always on the go, nobody wants to slow down. Advancement in technology has made it very difficult for people to exercise patience. We all want it now and now.
Well, the truth is that, being impatient can be dangerous and destructive. If you cannot hold your peace and evaluate a matter properly before taken action, then you have a problem, and you need to snap out of it.
Impatience has destroyed so many marriages and homes. We all need to learn patience, because it is a virtue. Being able to keep calm in the midst of a storm and think straight is a blessing, and that what the Israelites of old lacked.
When Moses went up to the mountain to receive the 10 commandments, the Israelites waited for him. At a point, they became impatient, they couldn’t wait any longer. they sook a leader that will take them back to Egypt. The ended up making a golden calf to worship. Exodus chapter 32 from verse 1 to 6 discussed the golden calf debacle in details.
After all that God had done for then through Moses, they couldn’t wait a bit longer for him. The golden calf sin was the greatest sin of the Israelites in the desert, for which they paid heavily. And it happened, all because the people were impatient.
Child of God, you have to understand that being impatient can be destructive. Eschew from it. No matter how tempting the situation might be, learn to be patient. it really pays to be patient. try it today and see the outcome. No matter how badly you are pushed to act, take a deep breath and rethink the consequences. It pays well to be patient. May God grant us the strength to be patient, even when we have every reason to be impatient. Amen.
May God grant us the ability to discover our purpose in life. Amen.
