Previously in our daily bible study, we learned the topic that says, be still and wait for the right time.

We learned how important it is for one to always wait for God’s appointed time. We learned why we should not rush things in life. We saw that when God called Moses to come to mount Sinai to collect the 10 commandments, Moses waited at the foot of the mountain for 6 days, on the 7th day, God called him. When he went up the mountain, he spent 40 days and 40 nights while receiving the precious divine instructions.

The question is, why didn’t God hand the tablets over to him on the first day, why did God have to wait for so long before handing the tablets to Moses? There must be something that God wants to teach us, and that is, to be still and wait for the right time.

There is the right time for everything. Rushing things will always have its negative consequences. No matter how urgent you expect a result, learn to be patient with your expectations. When you wait for the right time, you will definitely get the best result. That episode has a lot of message for us. If you have not watched the video, it is in the playlist. You can watch it after watching today’s video.

In today’s episode, we will discuss the message titled, how to give to charity.

It is good to give alms. It is better when we give, out of freewill. Sometimes, we see organizations and religious groups begging and asking people to donate alms. It is not a bad idea to remind people why they should give alms. Yes, when you convince someone to give to charity, you are doing them favor. Because, you are helping them create avenue to receive favors in the future. However, the best way to give to charity is when our hearts prompt us to give.

In the book of exodus chapter 25 verse 2, God instructed Moses to collect offering from the Israelites, these offerings will be used to build the tabernacle. God added, saying, collect from everyone whose hearts prompts them.

God teaches us from here, the importance of giving willingly, do not wait until someone reminds you to give to charity. This is because, when you give, you will receive in turn. The tabernacle that will be built with the offerings the Israelites will contribute will be the dwelling place of God’s presence, which is a blessing to the Israelites. In fact, in verse 8, God added, saying; then, have them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them. From here, we can see that, even the sanctuary the Israelites will build, it is for God to dwell among them, so, it is to their advantage.

Whenever you give to charity for the right course, you are doing yourself a favor. Do not wait until you are reminded to give to charity. When you give to charity, you are making way for yourself. Learn to give, and give as your heart prompts you, because givers never lack.

May we never lack, may God always provide for us, as we provide for others. amen.
